Land O’Frost KidStage
Next Session for Registration Summer Kidstage Orientation is May 22nd, 2012. Performances are June 21st, 22nd and 23rd.
What is KidStage? Land O’Frost KidStage, the children’s theater program of Searcy’s Performing Arts Center on the Square, has three workshop sessions per year for 2nd - 12th graders: fall, spring and summer. Classes feature basic instruction in theater terminology, stage movement, improvisation and pantomime, voice and characterization. “The basic mission of the Center is to bring the performing arts to a wide variety of the community,” said Lana Hallmark. “One of the best ways to foster an appreciation for the arts in the community is to teach our children how fulfilling and enjoyable learning these techniques can be while they develop skills that will serve them well for the rest of their lives.”
When are classes? Classes meet once a week. - Monday: younger elementary We divide them by age based on how many kids sign up in what grade. All classes will be from 4-6pm. The registration fee is $50. It goes up to $60 the final week before orientation.
Who teaches the classes? Classes are taught by our Artistic Director, Caleb Keese, with some assistant teachers.
